1894 S Barber Dime
Augustus G. Heaton, a numismatist by hobby and a professional artist by trade, released his Treatise on Mint Marks in 1893. When a “CC” appeared at that period, it stood for Carson City, Nevada, where a mint was located and run from 1870 until 1893.
